DIY Personalized Water Bottles for Teacher Gifts Using Vinyl and a Cricut

Looking for an QUICK & EASY teacher gift? I whipped up these cute little water bottles for Kailyn’s teachers at daycare in under an hour.

This was my first Cricut project using vinyl and it was seriously easy (and fun!). I was surprised at how fast it was, actually. I used Cricut Design Space to add my text in the default free Cricut font. This font worked perfectly for this project, but you can use any font that’s on your computer or that you’ve purchased. If you are using an older machine you can still do this!
Here’s a video from Cricut on how to cut and apply vinyl.

This video from Cricut shows how to add and edit text in a project.

Be sure to use permanent vinyl. The Cricut brand vinyl is not permanent – you want something like Oracal 651. Also be sure to let the vinyl “cure” for at least 24 hours before washing the bottle.
The bottles are from Joann’s…I thought they were fun and unique. The teachers love them!
